A Quiet Transition

As the year turns, I wanted to take a moment to gently let you know that I am in the process of moving this work to a new home.

This transition isn’t about leaving anything behind, but about making space — for clarity, accessibility, and care. Over time, this writing and research has grown, and so too has my understanding of what it needs.

This new website is being shaped slowly and thoughtfully, with attention to accessibility, ease of reading, and a calmer rhythm. As part of this process, I am also carefully revisiting images across this site — reviewing sources, refining captions, and ensuring that visuals are used with the same care and intention as the words they accompany.

For a little while, things may feel gently in-between. Some posts may be updated, images may change or temporarily disappear, and links will be refined as the new structure settles. This is all part of a quiet process of care rather than a sudden change.

Nothing essential is changing. The heart of this work remains the same:
a curiosity for material, memory, place, and care;
a commitment to gentler ways of making and thinking;
and a belief that slowness has value.

As we step into a new year, I wanted to say thank you — for reading, for lingering, for returning. I hope the year ahead brings you moments of rest, connection, and new beginnings that arrive at their own pace.

Wherever you are reading from, may the coming months offer softness where it’s needed most.

Warm wishes for the new year,
Rachel x
